Bashment Vibes is a British marketing brand specialising in dancehall, reggae and Jamaican culture.

The project is the brainchild of journalist and DJ Orantes Moore who launched Bashment Vibes in 2000 as a music column in New Nation newspaper.

Over the next decade, he co-produced and marketed live music events featuring acts such as Bob Andy, Marcia Griffiths, Tippa Irie and Gappy Ranks, and expanded the brand with a weekly show on London-based pirate radio station Itch FM.

Orantes has developed marketing and editorial content for Puma, Fader magazine, BBC Radio and Choice FM, and currently produces editorial content in Jamaica for The Gleaner Company‘s newspapers and websites.

Here, we share exclusive and classic interviews, features and videos with music lovers from around the world.

Alternatively, you can experience Bashment Vibes live by coming to one of our London parties.

One Response to About Us

  1. Hi There,

I work on the interactive side of things for the production company who produce four Radio1 shows – Nihal,Diplo and Friends, Benji B and Toddla T. We are obviously keen to let as many people know about the shows and hopefully we’ll play out content that will occasionally interest you and your users. For instance celebrating 50 years of Jamaican independence Toddla T had a special show with Damian Marley and reggae legend David Rodigan all on the show as well as guest mixes from Bailey and Martelo Ja exploring the influence of the music from the islands.

We are in the process of clipping up come of the interviews but here is a link to the show and all clips will be uploaded there: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01ld1zb

Anyway not entirely sure if this is something you are keen to promote. In any case it would be great to discuss with you if you would be interested in me sending you this kind of info when appropriate – and if so then who shall I should send it to…

    Any problems let me know,
