Vybz Kartel must endure the gruelling prospect of three murder and conspiracy trials in two weeks if the imprisoned dancehall MC is to clear his name.
On 29 October, Kartel (real name, Adidja Palmer) is scheduled to stand trial for the murder of music promoter Barrington Burton.
He returns to court seven days later (5 November) to deny allegations that he murdered former friend Clive ‘Lizard‘ Williams, and must attend again on 12 November alongside fellow rapper Vanessa ‘Gaza Slim’ Saddler and studio engineer Andre ‘Pim Pim’ Henry to face charges of perverting the course of justice.
In the three years prior to his arrest in September 2011, Kartel launched his own reality TV show, Teacha’s Pet, and Street Vybz brand of alcoholic drinks and condoms.
